Dental Bridges

Fixed bridges are made by preparing two or more teeth on both sides of empty space for crowns. Then a false tooth, “pontic,” is joined to the crowns. The bridge is cemented to prepared teeth. Specialized brushes and flosses are available to keep bridges clean. However, patients will require certain level of dexterity to perform these hygiene regimes.

Although dental implants are often considered the standard of care to replace missing teeth, a fixed bridge can be a viable alternative under certain conditions.
